Jonathan, caiuei. of Whitiora, Hamilton, was drowned in the Waikato River at 11 o'clock to day. - He went in for a swim with two com- | panions near No. 1 bridge, Whitiora, an got out oi his depth. One boy, aged nine, i.j caught hold of him, while the other ran ,yggg for assistance.
