ENGLISH TEACHERS.
Sir, —The letter on this subject signed 1 " Roman Rings," surely reeks of the parish pump. From tin educational arid enlightening standpoint, what could be more desirable than the free interchange of school teajhers between the geographically separated, though otherwise closely bound units of our Empire, including the British Isles", Canada. South Africa, etc. ? Owing to the difficulty ftf buying knowledge too dearly, little can be urged in favour of the economic aspect. The concluding portion of "Roman Rings' " letter also strikes one as illogical, inasmuch as the Graeco- \ Roman simile he endeavours to establish obviously does not exist and, therefore, the implied parallel drawn cannot in any way be made to apply to our own rase. Broad-Gauge.
