DEATHS FROM DRINK.
PARTY IN WINNIPEG. CHEMICAL MIXTURE TAKEN. A. and N.Z. WINNIPEG. Dec. 28. Seven men arc dead, one is dying, another is demented, and four others are recovering from drinking methylate hydrate, whtch they purchased at a chemist's shop. The men were unemployed labourers, and the drinking party took place in the Chinese quarter.
