SHIP'S RECORD TRIP.

PERFORMANCE BY RUAHIN'E. SOUTHAMPTON TO WELLINGTON UNDER 34 DAYS ON VOYAGE. [BS TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT- J WELLINGTON. Friday. A record run from England to Wellington was made by the Ruahine, which arrived heris this morning. She left Southampton on November 25 and the voyage to Wellington was completed in 33 days 21 hoars, or, allowing for summer time, 33 days 20 hours. This time includes stops at the Panama Canal and Piicaira Island and establishes a new record time for the trip. Fine weather was experienced throughout. A record trip from Liverpool to Auckland was made by the motorship Port Dunedin last year. The voyage occupied 33 days 2 hours 37 minutes, exclusive of time spent in the Panama Canal zone. The record applied only to vessels regularly engaged in the New Zealand trade. The Port Dunedin made a record passage of 35 days 1 hour from London to Sydney this year.
