MOA SKELETONS IN CAVE.
THE BONES OF NINE BIRDS. REPORT FROM INVERCARGILL. [PY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. [] INVERCARGILL, Friday. The discovery is reported of nine moa skeletons at Limehills, near Winton. ' A party of three descended into a cave and found the bones about 30ft. below the surface. They also discovered the bones of small birds, considered to be those of woka. Ihe find is a valuable one for museum purposes and is unmistakable evidence of the previous existence of moa in large numbers in Southland.
