SHOES FOR EVENING PARTY.
Gold and silver kid are very popular. A distinctive variety has an embossed pattern. Diamante trimmings, on both the instep, strap and the vamp, with jewelled heels, are much worn, especially on black satin shoes. Silver and white brocade shoes are dyed to match frocks, the silk taking the colour while the silver retains its original appearance. Oreen, yeHew and red are fashionable colours for evening, but gun metal kid appeals to the older woman. When one pair of shoes must serve for the dansants as well as for evenings, a very fine leather, looking like a brocade, or silk kid in pastel shades, is worn. Stencilled, frosted or painted designs adorn black satin or gold or "silver kid shoes.
Satin shoes are the most suitable to accompany velvet frccks.
