MY CHRISTMAS WISH.

By Elsie Harvey (age 3 yearsi, Jubilee Institute. I wish that 1 could could go back to Black Gully for a little while. There are many trees which I could play in, and there are many flowers which 1 could pick. I would gather some of the nice leaves, I would make daisy chains and clover chains, and also make a little ring of leaves and put flowers in it. 1 would take a little basket, and put some flowers and daisies into it, and then I would pretend that I would be a little girl that went round selling flowers, and put one little bunch of flowers at the bottom of each tree. I wish I could go to Pukekohe. 1 would go to my auntie's place and have a good time with some gooseberries and passion fruit, and 1 would go and play with a girl next door to them. I would have a very nice time, 1 think. 1 hope so, don't you t I would have a playmate to play with, I would help my uncle to pull out carrots for the horse, and I would feed the cow as well as the horse. J would ask if I could go up the hill with him just for $ walk. I wish all these things could como true at Christmas.
