POLAR CONTROVERSY.
AMUNDSEN'S ALLEGATIONS. REPLY BY NAVAL OFFICER. Sun. LONDON, Dec. 28. Surgeon-Commander Murray Levick, who accompanied Captain Scott's expedition to tho South Pole, has written to the newspapers concerning tho allegations .made by Captain Roald Amundsen that the British arc a race of bad losers. Commander Levick says \tnuridson's success was due to informa; which lie gained from Shackleton's and Scott's former attempts. Moreover, he says, Captain Scott frankly discussed his plans with Captain Amundsen before he started for the South Polo.
