TO-DAY'S WEATHER, HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST.; The following -weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening:—Unsettled weather is indicated, with further general rains, and conditions will become cooler shortly. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—A cyclone has enveloped the Dominion, its centre being, located off the east coast of the South Island. Moderate to strong southwesterly winds, increasing to gale force at places along the east coast south from Castlepoint. Seas moderate north of East Cape and elsewhere rough. Weather cloudy and unsettled, with further showers generally. Cooler temperatures soon. RAINFALL RECORD.
