THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY.
Definite recognition of the presence of tho World Teacher on the earth was oxpressed in the deliberations of the Order of the Star in the East, whose conference on Wednesday afternoon formed part _of the programme of tho annual convention of the Now Zealand section of the Theosophical Society, now being held at Mount St. John, Epsom. It was decided that the order should bo known, in future as the Order of the Star. It was announced there wore now 18 branches of the order -in Now Zealand, with a total membership of about 700. A treasurer and auditor!! for the New Zealand section of the Theosophical Society for 1928 have been elected as follows Treasurer, Miss G. Hemus; lion, auditors, Messrs. Pheney and Carter.
