POISONED BY GAS.
DEATH OF AW OLD MAN. Medical evidence given at the inquest yesterday on George Buckland D.-ower, aged 80, widower, who was found dead at his residence on the Strand, St. Heliers Bay," on Wednesday, was that deceased had committed suicide by inhaling gas. When found, deceased was sitting in an easy chair with a calico bag pulled over his head and a gas lllbe hanging nearby. He had been dead for some hours. The coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M., returned a verdict in accordance with'the medical testimony.
