DANCING.
Dancing and piping competitions will bo held under the auspices of the South Auckland Caledonian Society at the Hamilton Lake next Tuesday, January 3. Champions from all over tho North Island have entered for the various events, which are timed to commence at 10 a.m. Tho Balclutha Boys" Brass Band will be in attendance. In tho evening a social and dance will bo held in the Winter Show hall. Should the weather be unfavourable tho competitions will be held in the hall. The usual excellent facilities will be provided for patrons of the Dixieland Cabaret this evening: Dancing will continue until midnight.
