CONTESTS AT OPOTIK!. SUCCESS OF J. ARNOTT. [BY TELEGRArH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] OPOTIKI, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the Opotiki MotcyCycle Racing Club was held on the Domain Racecourse in beautiful weather. Thrilling races were witnessed by the large crowd that attended the meeting. During the day Jack Arnott (Auckland), riding a 7-h.p. Bitzer, lowered the track record by Is, his time being 48 2-5s for the mile. Later, he set a new light-weight record for the track on a 2»-h.p. Bitzer, covering the mile in 53 2-ss. After his performance on the big machine, Arnott received a great ovation. Results are as follows:
