MOTORISTS' INTERESTS.
CAMP SITE AT HAMILTON. THE TE KAWA-KAWHIA ROUTE. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.,] HAMILTON, Thursday. When the executive of the Hamilton agency of the Auckland Automobile Association met this week, Mr. W. J. King, who presided, reported that a motorists' camp site had been selected, and that the Hamilton Borough Council had offered to contribute £25 toward the cost of improving the area if the agency would give £SO. It was decided to vote £SO for the purpose. A discussion as to which were preferable, white lines or " silent policemen," as guides to motorists at street intersections took placo. The majority of members favoured the white lines which were now in use Advice was received that an all-weather route would be available between Te Kawa and Kawhia this year.
The proposal to forbid the dimming of headlights was approved.
THE FRANKLIN BRANCH. OPENING RUN OF SEASON. [i)Y TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] PDKEKOHE, Thursday The executive of the Franklin branch of the Auckland Automobile Association met last evening, Mr. G. T. Proude presiding. Advico was received that the motor gymkhana to be held at Papakura to mark the opening pf the concrete road from Auckland to Papakura had been . postponed until December 17. It was resolved that the branch's opening run for the season bo to Papakura on that day. It was decided to ask that signposts he erected on the new deviation over the Razorback hill, it being reported that the deviation was being used bv motorists
