BRITISH FILM BILL.
DEFENCE OF INDUSTRY. MEASURE BEFORE LORDS. A. and N.Z. KUGBY, Nov. 29. Speaking on the second reading of the Cinematograph Films Bill, which was carried in the House of Lords last eight, Viscount Peel said the bill was an attempt to free* a great British industry, needful for the education of rising youth, which, as a result of the war, had been unduly hampered by adverse conditions. It was not aci exclusive bill and it would give ample opportunity for tha exhibition of foreign manners, customs, habits and thought. Four-fifths cf the whole range of exhibition was left open to the enterprise of tha foreigner.
