WEFARE OF MIGRANTS.
EXTENSION TO DOMINIONS. DUKE OF YORK'S SPEECH. A. and N.Z.-Sun. LONDON, Not. 29. The Duke* of York, speaking at a meeting of the Industrial Welfare Society, urged co-operation between Britain and the Dominions in welfare work. He said his survey of industries in Australia and New Zealand had shown the possibilities of an extension, in which the society should be available to overseas employers. Although his survey was confined to his spare time, owing to his full pro gramme on the recent tour, he was most impressed with the labour-saving methods and the efficiency of the men and women in the Dominions.
