(Received November 30, 7.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. RUGBY. Nov. 29. The invitation that was sent to the Council of Trades Unions Congress by representatives of a large group of employers to attend a round-table conference to discuss the ,best means of securing peace m industry, will not be normally considered until the meeting of the General Council, which represents 5,000,000 workers, on December 20. It is stated that the invitation will be accepted, -subject to certain limitations in the scope of the conference, which will be the first of its kind in the history of British industry. The trades anions will suggest that only proved principles of lasting peace be considered at the conference, and as a preliminary step they will request the employers to indicate the measures by which greater co-opera-tion to secure mutual benefits to both parties can be achieved.
