BRITISH IRON EXPORTS. to , QUESTION RAISED IN HOUSE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received November 80, 7.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. RUGBY, Nov 29 In reply to questions asked in the House of Commons as to the new Aus tralian tariff on iron and steel, particularly the increased duties against British exports of such items as bar iron, and iron and steel tubes and rails, the Under Secretary for the Department of Overseas Trade, Lapt. D. H. Hacking, said he was awaiting full details of the new duties and othei proposals of the Commonwealth Government. On receipt of this fuller information, the question whether any representations to the Commonwealth Government could usefully be made would be considered. Capt. Hacking added that Britain received preference from Australia and would continue to receive preference.
