Page, proposed a vote of thanks to the Devonport club for the use of its green, to Messrs. A. Allan and E. 8. Andrew for arranging the match, and to Mcsdames Allan and Andrew for entertaining the company at afternoon tea. He also expressed his appreciation of tho introduction of daylight saving. Another club has been added to the list affiliated with the South Auckland Bowline Centre, the Glen Massey Club, The formal opening of the now green, which is situated ticai the Waipa Colliery Company's mine, attracted a large gathering of bowlers from H'lntly, Ngaruawahia. Hamilton and Cainbridge, and of the general public In his opening speech, Mr James Newman, president of the club, gave a brief outline of its history and thanked all who had rendered assistance, particularly Messrs. Darke and Norrie Bell, of the Hamilton Club, for help in making the green the Waipa Collieries Company, and the manager Mr. T. Thom son f o.r their valuable assistance in many ways, especially in providing a pavilion.
