GOLD TAX EXEMPTION.
NEW GUINEA SHIPMENTS. A. mid N.Z. SYDNEY, Nov. 29. Following upon the decision of tho Now Guinea goldminers to divert their gold shipments from Australia, tho Federal Government is passing legislation to exempt such gold from the heavy tax imposed on it by the Federal tax commissioner.
