CRICKET SELECTORS.
COMMITTEE REAPPOINTED. The management comniitteo of the Auckland Cricket Association last evening appointed Mersrs. N. C. Sneddon, E. C. Beale and G. Cummings as representative selectors for the present season. The same three acted last year. When the subject was introduced Mr. W. S. Smeeton moved that a solo selector be appointed. Mr. 11. Ilorspool seconded the motion. Mr. G. Jackson moved that three selectors bo appointed, Mr. It. Dow seconding. Mr. L. 11. Saunders said three selectors had given great satisfaction last season, and he saw no reason for a change. Mr. Smeeton said the solo selector idea was largely a matter of personal opinion. A sole selector was better able to pick a team, as there was not the likelihood of a compromise. lie was not dissatisfied with the operation of three selectors in the past. Mr. J. 11. Miller expressed the opinion that no two men from one club should bo on the selection committee, but the chairman pointed out that the rules provided that all three could como from a single club. The amendment was carried, and Messrs. N. C. Sneddon, E. C. Beale, A. S. Player, G. Cummings and W. S. Smeeton were nominated The ballot resulted in favour of Messrs. Sneddon, Beale and Cummings.
