AN UNUSUAL CLAIM.
ADVERTISEMENT ON WALL. An unusual case concerning a sign on a shopkeeper's wall was heard in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, when L. S. Kelly and Company, sign writers, sued C Baldwin, storekeeper, 65, Synionds Street, for £3. According to plaintiffs they agreed to rent advertisement space on the wall of defendant's shop, for which they had paid £3. They said defendant had agreed to refund tho money in tho event of the wall being built out. A trellis fence had since been erected in front of the sign, obscuring it from view. On that account the plaintiffs claimed a refund. Judgment was given for plaintiffs for £2 15s and costs, by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.
