DEATH OF A CYCLIST.

COLLISION WITH A LORRY. EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST. [BY TELEGRAPH.—-OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE PUKE, Saturday. The adjourned inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Pipi Kingi, who died on Sunday, as the result of a motor accident. The deceased was riding a bicycle and collided with a motor truck driven by Mr. Neil Carpenter. The principal witnesses were the Rev. R. Warnock and Mrs. War nock, Mr. R. B. Stewart, Miss Turner and the driver of the motor truck. The evidence indicated that the motor truck was carefully driven and was on the correct side of the road. The coroner, Mr. C. Lally, intimated that he would give his decision on Tuesday next. Mr. W. E. Hookey watched the proceedings on behalf of the Tauranga Electric-Power Board and the driver, Mr. N. Carpenter, and Mr. R.

Urquhart appeared on behalf of the relatives of the deceased.
