Cutts, of Wellington, Mr. J. .Sutherland Ross, of Dunedin, and Mr. J. W. Sandtmann, of Napier, are at the Grand Hotel. Archbishop Avcrill and Mrs, Averill left for the South by train last evening. After visiting their son at Havelock North, they will go to Wanganui, where Archbishop Averill will attend the prizegiving ceremonv at the Collegiate School. He will also officially open the new preparatory school attached to the Wanganui Collegiate School. Mr. H. V. Bell, of the Auckland staff of the New Zealand Shipping Company, has been promoted to manager of the Union Company and New Zealand Shipping Company's combined office in Gisborne. He will replace Mr. H. Holderness, who has been transferred to Christchurch, where he will be manager of the New Zealand Shipping Company's office.
