HILL-CLIMBING CONTEST. _____ i ■ [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Sunday. A successful hill-climbing competition vns conducted by the Hamilton Motor-cycle Club at Tauwhme this afternoon. The attendance was estimated at over 1000, and as many as 20 cyclists entered for some events. The results were:— Cycles up to 350 o.c.—R. .Parsons (Hamilton), A.J.S,, 1; Griffiths (Auckland). 2. Time, 19 l-ss. ' Cycles, over 350 c.c.—B. Moorcraft (Auckland), 0.E.C., 1; J. Carnegie (Auckland), 2. Time, 20 4-ss. , v Open handicap: A. Ratcliffe. 4s, Velocette, 1; Fenn (Auckland), 2s, 2. Time, 19 l-ss. Open Handicap.—L. McLean (Auckland). Cs. 1: J. Walker (Auckland). 2s. 2. Time, 22 l*ss, A banner competition resulted in Parsons. Ratcliffe and Fenn tying for first place. The trophy has not yet been awarded.
