MUNICIPAL BAND.

A large audience was entertained last evening by the musical recital given by the Auckland Municipal Band in the, Town Hall. The programme was an interesting and varied one. Two solos were given in addition to the band numbers, a cornet solo, "A > Dream of Love " (Haydn-Millar), by Mr. F. Bowes, and a flute solo, " Song Without Words " (Clinton), by Mr. Hal C. McLennan. The band programme comprised an overture, " Zampa ' (Herold), and two marches, "Givenchy" (Karius) and "Cumberland" (Saville). Three dances from " Henry VIII." (German) wei% also played, and tho programme concluded with a selection, "Sullivan Operas" (Dan Godfrey).
