BRISBANE TRAGEDY.
GIRL SHOT AFTER CAR RIDE. MAN IN SERIOUS STATE. A. and N.Z. BRISBANE. Nov. 38. In connection with the fatal shooting occurrence in the suburb of Paddington it has been learned that Miss Miller and Reginald Vaughan went for a drive in a motor-car on Wednesday evening. As they did not return, the police were informed and in the morning a search was instituted and the empty car was found at the side of a road.
The body of the girl was 'ound in a gully close by. She had been shot in the head and had apparently been dead for some time. Vaughan was found in a gemi-conscious state about 80 yards away. He is in a serious condition and is unable to make a statement about the affair.
