——— .ITINERARY ARRANGED* VISITS TO CHIEF CENTRES, GUESTS OF GOVERN OR-GENERAL* [BS TELEGEAPH.—OWN OOBB2BSPOKDKST-3 WELLINGTON. Friday. The Secretary of State for the Domra* ' ions, Mr. L. S«" Amery, on his arrival in Auckland on Monday will be xnei by the Prime Minister on behalf of the Government. Mr. Coates will leave Wellington on Sunday night and will return from Auckland by the limited express on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Amery will be in New Zealand until December-20 and tho itinerary which has been arranged for them provides for visits to t the principal centres of both islands, with the exception of Southland. Briaf breaks in the round of official and private engagements will be a one-day visit to Mount Egmont and a stay of nine days at the Mount Cook Hermitage, which will be used as the base from which Mr. Amery, who is a prominent mountaineer, will explore tho alps. Mr. and Mrs. Amery will be in Auckland until Wednesday morning, when they will leave by special train at 10.25 a.m. They will inspect the Waharoa dairy factory and the Suakura Experimental Farm early in the afternoon. It is not yet certain whether they will be tendered a reception at Hamilton. They will spend the night in the train at Han* gatiki, after visiting the caves at Wau tomo, and the next morning they will leave the train at To Kuiti at 9.40% md proceed by car to New Plymouth, where they are due at three o'clock. After * civic reception at night, Mr. Amery will leave for the North Egmont Hostel to make an early morning ascent ol the mountain. Friday and Saturday morning will be spent at Wanganui and Palmerston North, the programme providing for civic receptions at both centres and for visits to the Flock Houses for boys and girls. The visitors are due in Welling* 1 ton at 6 p.m. t and during their stay in the capital they will be the guests of the Governor-General. On Monday evening there tfiil be a reception at Government House and on the Tuesday there will be a State luncheon at the Town Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Amery will leave for the South Island on the Tuesday night. The special railway car which was used by the Duke and Duchess of York oa their recent tour of the Dominion will be placed at the disposal of Mr. and Mrs. Amery and party.

Amery, Secretary of State for the Dominions, and Mrs, Amery, there will arrive at Auckland OH Monday by the Niagara from Sydney two members of the House of Commons. - Captain William Brass, M.P., -who is acting as Mr. Amery's Parliamentary Secretary, has represented the Clithwoe Division of Lancashire since 1922. He was a Cambridge Athletic Bine in ISGS and was gazetted to the Surrey Yeomanry in 1912. During tie Great War he served in France, Italy and Egypt the Royal FlyingJ3orps and Rojtel Air Force. In 1922 he was Parliamentary Secretary to the Postmastev-General, afta. in 1923 Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health and Chancellor of the Exchequer. He is interested in migration. Mr. Cyril Lloyd, M.P., Conservatlm, has represented Dudley since 1922. A member Of the Institute of Civil Engineers, he has been chairman of directors of the Netherton Ironworks since 1918. Apart from Captain Brass, Mr, Amery's party will include Mr. G, G, Wiskard, C.8., in the capacity of Dramaions Office Secretary, ana Mr. G> Huxley, M.C., who will act as secretary of anam connected with the Empire Marketing Board, and will investigate producers problems. . _ Mrs. Amery is a sister of oir Hamar Greenwood, and is known to numerous New Zealanders. Many visitors from overseas havo attended her At Monies in London. . Herself a Canadian, she takes a keen and practical interest in anything making for the improvement of Imperial relations. Both Mr. and Mrs. Amery are associated with the Navy League, Mr. Araery being a member of the executive. He is a vice-president of the Royal Colonial Institute.
