NEW ORIENT LINER.
CONTRACT FOR VICKERS.
AUSTRALIAN SERVICE
(Received November 11, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. LONDON. Nov. 10. The Orient Steam Navigation Company, Limited, received five tenders for a mail and passenger steamer for the Australian service. It has accepted that of Vickeis. Limited, the builders of the Orama, Otranto and Ori'ord. The new vessel will bo of a larger tonnage than the three mentioned It will bo of 22,000 tons, and will have a speed of 20 knots. Ihe steamer will embody the latest ■ developments in marine architecture.
