Following are the results of the third round of the match play handicap, played by members of the Maungakiekjjs Golf Club at One Tree Hill on Saturday:—A. K. Hawlev beat J. Murray, 2 up; .1. Hockin beat J. Methven, 2 up; G. C. St. George beat D. K. Russell, 4 and 3; R. Cleghorn beat J. S. Hankin, 1 up; A. H. Blackburn beat A. H. Martin, 6 and 5. A bogey handicap was also played and resulted in a tie between G. C. St. George, handicap 12, and G. L. Knight, 15. 2 down. GLENDOWIE LADIES' CLUB. In the final of the championship of the Glendowie Ladies' Golf Club Mrs. F. Browne defeated Miss D. Scott, 7 and 5. The Ladies' Golf Union medal round was won by Mrs. Butler, 106, 31—75. The C grade match over 18 holes for Mrs. Cahill's prize was won by Miss Lundon. The draw for the Ladies' Golf Union medal round to be played to-morrow is as follows:—Mrs. F. Browne v. Milne has won the senior championship of the Everslie Golf Club, defeating C. Warded in the final, 2 and 1. The junior championship was won by J, Richardson, who defeated D. Pemberton in the final, 9 and 8. PUPUKE CLUB. The final of the championship of the Pupuke Golf Club will be played on Saturday between A. M. Howden, holder, and I. G. Mackenzie, over 36 holes. In Saturday's play on the Pukekohe links the best cards returned in the final monthly medal aggregate match were as follows: Lally, 89, 12—77; Maddisoit 97, 20—77; Johnson, SO. 12-»-78; Coyle, 88, 9 —79; Brosnahan, 88, B—Bo. Johnson wins the medal aggregate for the season, his three best cards being 79. 79, 78, an average of 78 2-3. Lally is runner-up with 82, 79, 77, average 79 1-3. The Puckeridge trophy was won by D Coyle (handicap 9), who defeated Johnson (7) in the final, 1 up. The men's consolation trophy was won by H. Charlesworth, 104, 22—82. The next best cards were:—N. Stuart, 112, 28—8*1; K. Pike, 112, 28—84. In the semi-final for the ladies' senior championship Miss Duncan defeated Mrs. Beaney, 1 up, at the 19th hole. Miss Duncan will play Miss Pirrit in the final. The ladies' junior championship was won by Miss Johns, who defeated Miss Perkins in the final 3 and 2. The ladies consolation medal match was won by Misa Perkins. THE TAUMARUNUI CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAUMARUNUI. Monday. A medal handicap played by members of the Tauniarunui Golf Club on Saturday resulted in a tie between A. W. Culleu and N. Thomas, who each returned a net score of 67. The tie will be played off on Wednesday. The nest best cards returned were:— Cullen, 85, 18—67; N. Thomas. 87, 20—67; Wilks, 88. 18-70: Holford, 79. 8—71; Gilpin. 85. 14—71. The trophy presented by Mr. A. Sandel for the best aggregate of seven out of eight medal rounds was won by L. A. Holford. whose scores were: 79. 81, 75. 73. 85. 79 , 79; total, 556. MATCHES AT OTOROHANGA. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OTOROHANGA, Monday. Teams of men and women players from the Te Kuiti Golf Club visited Otorohanga on Saturday afternoon and played matches with members of the local club. The visiting ladies won in the aggregate by one hole, and the visiting men also won in the aggregate by one nolo.
