One of the most interesting and picturesque figures in the . Courts of Europe to-day is the little five-year-old King of Rumania. The little boy King will find his path beset with difficulties when he comes ol age and ascends the throne, but that is years ahead as yet. Meantime, th« matter of his education ts being carefuilj considered. It is said that there is a possibility that little King Michael maj go to an English public school for part of his education. He would certain!} have done so had his grandfather, King Ferdinand, lived, but as it may not b« possible to send a reigning monarch t« school in another country, he may have to be educated by tutors. It is a mattes about which his guardians are very much concerned at the moment. Until recently King Michael had twa English nurses, but now only one, Miss St. - John, who has charge of his nursery had two English nurses in constant at tendance, he speaks English fluently. H» is a sturdy little boy with dark wavy hair and dark eyes, and is verv intelligent. Extremely healthy, he has never had an illness since he was born, and has a passionate love of animals and flowers. He was certainly born to rule over a gallant country, for, although three parts surrounded by Slavs, the Ruman lans have preserved their language and traditions through the centuries since the time of the Romans.
