GAMBLER RUNS AMOK.
WILD SHOOTING BOUT. Extraordinary scenes were witnessed by visitors to the Casino at Monte Carlo, when a gambler, unbalanced by his heavy losses, set fire to tlu tables, scattered players by firing wildly with a revolver, and then leaped to his death from a window. For a whole week a young Jugoslav, Kostich Radomilo, had steadily lost, and on the night of the affair he sat gloomily watching the roulette wheels revolve and fortunate people picking up their winnings in the famous Empire Room. On losing his last 100 francs, Radomilo jumped up, pulled a bottle from his pocket, poured petrol over the table and carpet and set light to it. Chaos followed. Attendants rushed to extinguish the flames, but the man drew a revolver and began to fire indiscriminately, the panic-stricken gamblers scattering in all directions. Fortunately, no one was hit, but the shots scattered the heavy chandaliers, windows and mirrors. After discharging his last bullet into the ceiling, Radomilo rushed to an open window, sprang out, and fell 20 feet to the ground. He was conveyed to hospital, where he died from internal injuries. „ f
