SEASON'S FIXTURES* October 15, 19—Auckland Trotting Clnb, October 24—Oamaru Trotting Clnb. November 8, 10, 11— N.Z. Metropolitan Trotting Club. November 19, 23—Otahubn Trotting Club. ' November 25. 25—Forbnry Park Trotting Club December B—Waikato Trotting Clnb. December 10—Northland Trotting Club. December 27, 29, 31—Auckland Trotting Club. February 18, 22—Otahuhu Trotting Club. June 23, 27—Auckland Trotting Club. NOTES BY PICADOR. The Canterbury trainer W. J. Tomkinson is bringing a team of four to assist at the Auckland Trotting Club's Spring Meeting, which opens on Saturday. His representatives will comprise Concliff. Vestas, Young Blake and' Bell Harold, who are expected to arrive on Tuesday. The trotter Kean John is receiving another preparation and may be among the competitors at the coming meeting. He was off the scene all last season, and :t is a long: time since he showed any form. Kean John has reached an age when be may have gone past his beat,- and J. T. Paul may not find him easy to place successfully. Unless present intentions are altered, Bonniewah will take her place in the field for the Great Northern Trotting Derby next week. She is reported to be going along satisfactorily in her training, but she cannot be so well seasoned as some of the others engaged and will probably find the visiting representatives too good. Dr. F. Rayner*s fine nnhoppled pacing mare Haricot has produced a colt foal to the imported sire Worthy Bond. Although she made a two-mile record of round about 4m 87s, Haricot was not particularly successful as a racing proposition. She showed a lot of quality and was a. clean-action *d mare, who might be a stud success. There are good reports to hand concerning the condition of Concliff, and mnch interest will centre in his form at the coming Auckland meeting. After his defeats at Addington in August some were inclined to discredit this fine pacer, who went 2m 10s to finish third m a mile handicap. On what has been seen of Concliff here, he is a good horse, without being " a champion, and he may soon make amends for his failures at Addington.
