STANLEY BAY PARK.

Sir, —The action of the Stanley Bay enthusiasts of the Ngataringa Tennis Club in "grabbiug" a portion oi the children's playing ground to put down tennis courts must be soundly condemned. In such a district, where the playing areas are mainly confined to the roads, it • was not much to give to the children a well-sheltered spot on the little portion of that beautiful park area that is dry. Now, the children's swings are being shifted nearer the roadway, to get the dust and wind. All this to satisfy the cravings of a selfish few. There are plentv of courts available and handy for the Stanlevftes, so why rob the children of a safe" breathing and playing area ? Unselfish.
