QUESTION OF A TRANSFER. [BT TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL REPORTEB.] WELLINGTON. Friday Pointing out that £3-50,000 in the revenue account of the main highway: fund in the South Island had been trans ferred to the North Island constructor fund, Mr. H. S. & Kyle (Pic-carton] nsked the Minister of Public Works ir the House to-day ior an assurance thai the money would be paid back to ths South Island. The Hon. K. S. Williams assured the member that the money_ would be paic back. He had no particulars at th< moment, but when they arrived thej ■would ba forwarded to uia questioner.
