CURIOSITY OF MEMBERS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —'SPECIAL KEPOHTE2.] WELLINGTON, Friday Another inquiry as to the date of the introducing of the Licensing Amendment Bill was made in the House to-day the questioner on this occasion being Mr. J. McCombs ( Lyttelton). The Prime Minister m reply jocularly referred the member to the reply the Minister of Labour had given an earlier questioner on another subject. The Leader of the Opposition, Mr. H E. Holland: Wait and see? The Prime Minister Yes. Ohe latter portion of the reply as well as the former. (Laughter-) ~ , "The Government," he added, has certain urgent Government business that it desires to get on with and a suitable opportunity will be taken when we ge sufficiently far with those Government bills to allow members to express their views upon other questions one of which has been mentioned by Mr. McCombs. Mr. McCombs: Can we expect the Licensing Bill next week ? The deader of the Opposition: Does the statement apply to all private business ? „ The Prime Minister: Not necessarily. Mr. W. J. Jordan (Manukau) : But the licensing is a Government bill, is it not ?
