DANGER TO HEALTH.
RUBBISH IN MARKET GARDEN "This Chinese has no idea of keeping liis place clean; I have warned him but he takes no notice," said the inspector to the Manukau County Council in the Police Court yesterday when W. Wong Kee, market gardener and carrier, was charged with allowing an accumulation of decayed vegetable matter to be dangerous to health. Complaints had been made by a tennis club regarding the stench arising from the rubbish, the inspector added. The magistrate, Mr. E. C. Cutten, said he would impose a minimum penalty on this occasion, but it must be a warning. Defendant was fined 40s, with costs.
