AUSTRALIAN SCHOOLBOYS. DRAW WITH SOUTH AUCKLAND. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HUNTLY. Wednesday. The Australian boys' soccer team met the South Auckland boys' team in a match at Huntly this afternoon. The game ended in a draw, neither side scoring. There was a large attendance, and the rain kept off. In the first spell the local boys had their own way, but in the second half the Australian boys took the aggressive, and although the South Auckland team showed dashes of brilliance, the Australians kept them on the defensive. The game throughout was a bright and clean exhibition of the code. For Australia. Hooper, Tillett and Carribrell were outstanding, while for South Auckland R. Bate, Barlow and Allsopp played sterling games. The latteT, in goal, was particularly safe. AUCKLAND TEAM AT TIMARU. SOUTH CANTERBURY OUTPLAYED. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TIMARU. Wednesday. The Auckland touring Association football team defeated South Canterbury to-day by 5 goals to 0. The game was not of an interesting nature on account of the weak opposition offered to the visitors, who held the upper hand throughout. The visiting forwards gave a clever exhibition and were well supported by the halves, who had no difficulty in stopping the solo efforts of the home forwards. The latter lacked combination and had only two shots during the game, both failing. Goals were scored for Auckland by Spencer f2). Christie, Chalmers and Humphrey. CANTERBURY REPRESENTATIVES.
