JUNIOR CLUB AT HOME.

VERY SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. ATTRACTIVE DECORATIONS. A gathering in the precincts of a man's 1 club, with its atmosphere of cosiness and comfort, always makes a strong appeal to the social instinct of the feminine sex, and the At Home given by the president and members of the Junior Club yesterday afternoon proved a3 successful as on former occasions. Masses of yeiiow jonquils decorated the rooms and on the teatabie in the billiard room, which was just aglow with golden blooms, small bowls of violets were arranged round a central pyramid of jon-_ qui Is and daffodils. An orchestra contributed spirited musical selections, to which the guests danced in the smoking room, and in the various clubrooms interested, guests were lined round the fascinating green tables where games were in full ' swing. • ' • The guests were received by the president, Mr. J. Johnson, and Miss Johnson, who wore a frock of pastel blue creps de chine with deep border patterned in ivory, finished on the shoulder with posy of lilies of the valley, and ■ fitting hat of pastel blue.
