STRAIGHT BANANA PRIZE. FANTASTIC CONDITIONS. (Received September 1, 9.35 p.m.) Sun. LONDON, Sept. 1. The claim of a resident of Jamaica, Mr. R. Livingston, to a reward of £IO,OOO offered by a firm of London music publishers' for the discovery of a straight banana, has been disallowed. The firm has informed the claimant's solicitors that the reward was subject to 19 conditions. The first of these was that all the bananas must enter for the prize in their own writing, sign their full names and give their pedigrees.
