WEDDING PARTY'S MISHAP.
CARS COLLIDE ON HILL. TWO OCCUPANTS INJURED. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WANG-ANUI, Thursday. A somewhat serious motor accident took place on the Turakina Hill yesterday evening, when two cars came into violent collision. The members of a wedding party were proceeding from Wanganui to Palmerston North in a limousine driven by R. Linssen when the vehicle crashed into another car driven fy Tani Reremoana, of Ratana, and containing several Maoris. The latter car was going up the hill. Miss Mary Burchell, of Hunterville, and Wirihana Rekapeka, known as W. Hetet, were injured, and had to receive medical attention. The wedding car was badly damaged.
