MAUNGAKIEKIE LADIES' CLUB THE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES. Play in the championships of the Maungakiekie Ladies' Golf Club was continued at the One Tree Hill links yesterday. Following are 'the results.—' Senior Championship.—First round: Miss D. Horton beat Miss R. Daines, 4 and 3; Mrs. Dignan beat Miss Haslett, 8 and 7: Miss C. Stubbs beat Mrs. Horton, 6 and 5; Miss K. Horton beat Mrs. Finlay, 2 and 1; Semi-finals: Miss D. Horton beat Mrs. Dignan, 5 and 3; Miss K. Horton beat Miss C. Stubbs. 5 and 4. Junior Championship.—Second round: Miss McGowern beat Miss Q. Robson, 1 up at the 22nd; Miss R. McCabe beat Mrs. Grevatt, 7 and 5: Mrs. Russell beat Mrs. "White, 4 and 3; Miss Grove beat Miss J. Easton, 6 and 5. Semi-finals: Miss McCabe beat Miss McGovern, 6 and 5; Mrs. Russell beat Miss Grove, 6 and 4. The best. cards returned in the bogey match were:—Seniors: Miss C. Stubbs, IG, all square: 1 Mrs. Reid, 20, all square. Juniors: Mrs. Russell, 30, 1' up; Mrs. Eddowes, 35, 4 down: Miss M. Robson, 36, 4 down.
The four-ball best ball bogey match will oommence at 9 o'clock this morning. The finals of the senior and junior championships will commence at 1 o'clock. The presentation of prizes will take place after the matches are played. OTAHUHU CLUB. In the second qualifying round of the Otahuhu Golf Club's championships the following qualified:— Seniors—W. B. The qualifying rounds for the Pukekohe Golf Club's senior and junior championships will be played on Saturday. The qualifying rounds for the ladies' championships are to be played on Saturday, September 10.
FRANKLIN LADIES' CONTESTS. The Franklin ladies golf championships played on ttg' Everslie links resulted in a tie between Miss Una Muir (Waiuku), and Miss A. Neill (Waiuku). The tie is to be played off at a date to be arranged. The morning medal round was won by Mrs. V. Goddard (Papakura), and the afternoon match resulted in a tie between Mrs. A. Pavitt (Papakura). and Miss J. Little CEverslie).
