TROTTING.

THE THAMES CLUB. DATE OF ANNUAL MEETING. [BY ' TELEGRAPH. —OWN CO 11 It.-ICS I' ON HE NT. J THAMES, Wednesday. The Thames Trotting Club last evening considered a suggestion from the North Island Owners and Breeders' Association to •hold its race meeting in the spring instead of in March, and also to arrange for a special train for tho conveyance of horsc-s. It was resolved to reply regretting that the date could not now be altered and that a request for a special train would he fully considered. The secretary, Mr. E. O. Brownlee, reported that the year's receipts totalled and expenditure JC3G99. A credit balance from last year would enablo the sum of £BIB to be carried forward. Tho annual meeting was fixed for Friday, September 23. NOTES FROM ADDING TON. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT. J CHEISTCHURCH. Wednesday. Elze.ar is in regular work again at Addiugton. This fine trotter only has to settle down to her work at the commencement of a race and she will win some good stakes this season. She is a splendid track worker. but becomes somewhat upset in u race. E. C'arlyon is working the filly by Happy Voyage from Lady Teddington. She is a good-looking youngster with plenty of speed and a good way of doing her work. Speed rather than stamina in the meantime seems her chief asset. Nelson Ata has furnished into a solid trotter during tho winter. He has not done much fast work, but his owner-trainer has been very attentive to him, and ho is ready to commence his preparation for spring racing. The brother to Locanda Mac is doing some of lna training work in saddlo at present. N. Burgess gave the young pacer a good deal of useful work last season and he should soon be sefcn with the colours up. R. Pollock is still persevering with Flarrv Audubon, but judged by his recent efforts he is not likely to be a stake earner. Harry Audubon is not improving and he does not always do his best in a,race.
