MEXICAN RED ELEMENT.
FOREIGNERS IN DANGER. BRITISH AND AMERICANS. A. and N.Z.-Sun. WASHINGTON, Aug. 26. The United States Consul at Guadalajara, Mexico, advised the State Department to-day that 18 American and 11 Britisli subjects were barricaded in their homes, near the Amparo Company's mines, which were seized by the so-called "Red Syndicate," and that their lives were endangered. In consequence of the seizure, all the other foreigners in the neighbouring villages had lied to Guadalajara.
