WORST FOR 30 YEARS. DAMAGE AT ADELAIDE. Considerable to vegetable plots and glasshouses resulted from a severe hailstorm which passed over Adelaide on the night of August 4, the hail, moi« particularly in the southern suburbs, being as large as pigeons' eggs. The hailstorm was followed by a severe electrical disturbance and heavy rain squalls, which continued throughout the following day.
