COMPANY AT CAMBRIDGE. . PAYMENT TO SUPPLIERS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] Cambridge, Sunday. The Cambridge Dairy Company yesterday paid out the sum of- £5900, made up as follows:—Payment for butter-fat supplied for July, on a basis of Is 5d per lb., £2400, compared with £1620 for the corresponding period last year, and bonus for butter-fat supplied from June 1 to October 31, £3500. The bonus is made up at the rate of a fraction of a penny for the earlier months, and 2d for the period September to October. The dairy season in the district is now fairly commenced. This week-end the whole of the Cambridge Dairy Company's factories commenced cheese-making. Cream lorries are now running daily and the company's staff has been increased to 42. The prospects for supply are exceedingly bright. The company's supply for July shows an increase of 50 per cent, compared with the corresponding period last year. OPERATIONS AT WAIMANA. INCREASED CHEESE PRODUCTION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] W AIM AN A, Saturday. The annual meeting of the Waimana Dairy Company was well attended. Mr. J. A. Mitchell, chairman of directors, presided. The report and balance-sheet were unanimously adopted.; The year's working showed an increase of over 30 tons of cheese- manufactured, compared with the previous season, and the quality of the cheese had been excellent. Of the cheese graded for export 73 per cenf. was finest and 26 per cent, first grade- The average grade for the season was 93.333, being the highest in the Auckland Province and winning the Hardley Shield. Messrs. W. J. Craig and T. W. Wardlaw were re-elected to the directorate and Mr. F. Prideaux was reappointed auditor. At a subsequent meeting of directors Mr. J. A. Mitchell was re-elected chairman.
