Sir, —The Prime Minister has made a timely statement bearing upon Britain's pre-eminence in foreign trade, arid has given some comparisons with the United States. - He . might have added that, on a population basis, the exports of Britain are fully twice that of America. It is population that trades, not territory, a fact that is apt to be forgotten by some people. < C-H.N.
