The cricket match, New Zealand v. Lancashire, could not he resumed at Manchester yesterday owing to the continuance of wet weather. This morning it was still raining and it was decided that there should be no play before lunch. This means that the match cannot reach any but an inconclusive result and it may be abandoned altogether. When stumps were drawn on Wednesday the scores were as follows: LANCASHIRE.— First Innings.
