dispute still unsettled. MEN CONSIDERING SITUATION. (Received August 1?. 9-22 P-ni.) A, and N.Z SYDNEY, A.«*. 10. Tlio engineers who arc on strike met today and discussed the settlement terms suggested yesterday by Mr. .'Justice Beeby. Tliese were that the employees of ono firm should resume work on the weekly hiring system, and those of the other two firms concerned on the daily hiring plan. No decision was reached. A special meeting of the men is to be held on Sunday. when the whole situation will be reviewed.
