LONG TOW BY LAUNCH.

WEST COAST TO AUCKLAND. A voyage of 450 miles from To Kopuru, Kaipara, to Auckland, with three barges in tow was completed by the oil-launch Lady Eva on Thursday night. * Having been specially chartered for the trip the vessel left Te Kopuru at 10 o'clock last Monday and crossed tho Kaipara bar four hours later. A favourable southwest wind was experienced, but on Tuesday the wind changed to north-west, and blew freshly, accompanied by rough seas. Tho boisterous conditions continued until to Capo Maria Van Diemen. Afterwards tho wind was in tho Ladv Eva's favour. When near the Poor Knights on Thursday morning tho wind blow strongly from the north-east and there was a rough following sea until the shelter of the Hauraki Gulf was reached.
